In an effort to further our goals and mission, St. Louis Bosnians, Inc. established permanent committees to help us achieve goals and address issues in most efficient manner. If you are interested in joining one of the committees, and if you posses certain knowledge or expertise required by the committee please fill out the form at the bottom, and we’ll reach out to you to arrange the meeting and discuss your involvement.
The role of the finance committee is primarily to provide financial oversight for the organization. Typical task areas include budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies.
The Education Committee is responsible for identifying the educational needs of the community and creating quality, value-added programs to enhance the community’s knowledge, professionalism and business development goals.
The Advocacy/Publicity Committee promotes items deemed important for organization and Bosnian community, while persuading others to support our causes. Committees goal is to explore and suggest ways in which St. Louis Bosnians, Inc. can become more active in furthering the interests of Bosnian community and in representing those interests to the wider audience. The committee will assist St. Louis Bosnian community and the organization in attaining greater visibility and recognition.
The Relief Committee asses the need of community in St. Louis as well as community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and offers a guidance to organization in regards to which project to participate in, and what causes to support.
The Culture Committee is responsible for identifying avenues of work for committee in an effort to exhibit Bosnian community and Bosnia and Herzegovina, through cultural events including but not limited to art, film, and music.
